When the patient does begin to notice symptoms, generally the first symptom noticed is loss of peripheral vision. However, at this point the disease has already progressed and this vision lost cannot be restored. Other symptoms of glaucoma can be high eye pressure, eye pain, sudden headache, blurred vision, or halos around lights. Your eyes may also appear red or hazy. Tunnel vision is also a serious symptom that needs to be addressed immediately. She will also use special instrument to check your eye pressure. A visual field test will determine if you have lost any peripheral vision.
